Skype installation on Nokia mobile phone

If you have a Nokia mobile phone which is running a Symbian operating system and you want to use Skype on your mobile phone itself, then this post is what you looking for.

Pre-requisite:
Nokia mobile phone wiht a Symbian operating system
An internet connection on your mobile (e.g MyT)

Step 1: Go to Ovi Store (http://store.ovi.com/), sign up a Nokia account. Then select Skype. And then select the option Send to Mobile. A small popup appears with your nokia phone number and prompting to confirm sending of a message to your nokia phone number. Confirm by selecting Send.

A message will be send to your phone.



Select the link on the message.

... And the remaining steps are very easy.



Login on Ovi Store...



Confirm download...



Launch Skype installation...



Skype installation started...



Confirm installation...



Acknowledge message...



Installation in progress...



Launch Skype from the Applications menu...



Skype splash screen...



Log on Skype using your username and password...

Internet Connection Speed

How fast is the connection to the Internet? When moving the cursor over the internet connection icon on the task bar, 100.0 Mbps is displayed. But this is only the speed between the livebox and my PC. What about the real internet connection speed?

"cutting edge" technology: Guess who is he?

Look at the person in this picture carefully.

You never know when you may see him, for example buying some hot dholl puris Chez Vivi, and get a $25 million reward from the U.S. government.

He is Osama bin Laden - not how he actually looks like but only a mockup 'age progressed' picture that FBI released some days back to show how they think bin Laden would look like today.

Even suspected terrorists get older. The last pictures of Osama bin Laden are dated 8 years back. Hence, suspects' pictures need to be updated to enable public better identify them.

That's why the American security agents and the forensic artists had used sophisticated digital enhancements to create pictures showing how Osama bin Laden might look today.

On a more serious note, this picture makes me imagine how creative these forensic guys can be at times - from the military clothes to a more western look, from traditional turban to the gray hair, and no more the long beard.

And (following some additional readings), this is the most interesting part...

Gaspar Liamazares.

Who is he? A Spanish politician and lawmaker.

So what? This guy recognised strong elements of himself in the bin Laden picture. His forehead, hair and jaw-line had been "cut and pasted" from an old campaign photograph.

FBI claimed to have used "cutting edge" technology to reproduce this image but later admitted that a technician "was not satisfied" with the hair features offered by the FBI's software programme and instead he used part of a photo of Gaspar Liamazares, found on the internet. The technician was not even aware who the person is.

What an example of 2010's sophistication!!!!!!!!

Will 2010 be an exciting year?

Good morning 2010.

There is something special about this year. What could it be that is making people excited about 2010 - general election in Mauritius, completion of the tallest made-made structure ever built, namely the Burj Dubai in Dubai, United Arab Emirate, the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa (and the first time in an African country), winning some millions in loto, Manchester United exceeding the number of Premier League titles as compared to Liverpool or even recovery from the world financial crisis.

I think everyone has good and valid reasons to believe that 2010 will be a good year. Hence, wish you all the best and let’s see how 2010 shapes itself.
